"I stayed in London where I had several summer jobs in the early 2000s. At the time there were still The Hideout and Foot Patrol stores (in its original form, with its automatic door and caged sneakers), two places I liked to go. They had been opened in the 1990s by Michael Kopelman, the founder of Gimme Five.
Ten years later, it was by chance that Laurent and I met Hitomi from Gimme Five who introduced us to Kazuki Kuraishi with whom we designed products in collaboration.
We subsequently remained in touch with Hitomi. When she contacted us with the idea of ​​using the iconic Gimme Five inscriptions on our products, a dialogue developed with her and Michael Kopelman around the creation of a collection."

Fritz & Alan from the HOBAC fame, created some furniture for me back in 87’ - One of the many pieces they built were a store counter & record storage unit which both was routed or carved with “RELIVE THE FUTURE” & “MY KARMA DRIVES OVER MY DOGA”, these words quickly became our slogan. We thought this was fitting to use for our collaboration, as this was where our first encounter with Mark from Arpenteur.
